New Job!!

I had trouble sleeping last night so I was kind of tired on the first day of my new job. I fell asleep around 2 or 3. The sad part is I was in bed way before that. I was think about a million things. There is the fact I had a cup of hot tea before bed. Bad move!!

This morning the alarm went off at 6:30 and I jumped out of bed into the shower. I was to the shuttle stop by 7 ish and on my way downtown. I then had to take the Cincinnati bus to Humana.

I was stressing when it was about 20 til and the bus driver was having trouble lifting the handicap seat to accommodate a wheel chair. I just shook my head in disgust. I know I was just nervous about being late. I got there on time and filled out paper work, drank some OJ, and had a Danish.

Then we pretty much watched a power point all day. There was a presentation on the history of the company, and details on our benefits. I'm not sure if I will connect with anyone I'm working with yet. I think we will have a better idea in training. There was a lady in my glass unsure about which bus to take. I have become very familiar with the public transit in the Nati.

One perk of the day was getting off work at 3. I was home about 10 til 4 and on my way to have a Zola Burger at Zola's in Mainstrasse. Matt, Jason, and I will have to go when Jason moves here. The beer I had was cheap too.

I know choppy sentences...That's how I roll :)

Change in Post

I was originally going to post about the men of 2006. I decided that yes looking back is good, but it is better to post about the life lessons that I learned last year and maybe a glimpse of what 2007 will be like.

Learned in 2006:

Be careful when you choose a roommate!!
If you really don't want the answer DO NOT ASK THE QUESTION!!
You can not fix other peoples lives when you life is broken
Careful who you choose as your friends.
Make sure your good to the right people.
Do not waste you time on the wrong!!
I need to stand up for me.
That it is not always nessecary to put yourself second
That I'm not ok with being alone
I hooked up too many times(Hey at least I admit it)
Give chances, but not too many.
Never fill a void with things that are bad for you
Trust your gut feeling.
There is more than just going out and getting drunk
I'm not whole yet
I have met some awesome people!!
I feel there is a purpose to everything

Maybe in 2007 I will write complete paragraphs :)

Heres to the New Year!!

Your Seduction Style: Fantasy Lover

You know that ideal love that each of us dreams of from childhood? That's you!
Not because you posess all of the ideal characteristics, but because you are a savvy shape shifter.
You have the uncanny ability to detect someone's particular fantasy... and make it you.

You inspire each person to be an idealist and passionate, and you make each moment memorable
Even a simple coffee date with you can be the most romantic moment of someone's life
By giving your date exactly what he or she desires, you quickly become the ideal lover.

Your abilities to make dreams come true is so strong, that you are often the love of many people's lives.
Your ex's (and even people you have simply met or been friends with) long to be yours.
No doubt you are the one others have dreamed of... your biggest challenge is finding *your* dream lover.

Someone Else's Story...

That is the title of a song from the musical "Chess". The Show where I met who turned out to be one of my Best friends Ally. Ally and her husband Rob moved to Eureka, CA in the summer. They were in town for one night only last night and I had the honor of spending time with her. I love this girl to death. I can tell her anything. We use to go have dinner and we both would avoid small talk and jump right into what is going on in our lives.

When she sang the song I mentioned above I cried. She has touched my heart and I was hurt that she was leaving again. She came over and said her goodbyes. I cried again.

I miss her already and look forward to maybe taking a trip out to California in April.

On another note....
Next post will be the Men of 2006. The highlights and low lights. More low than high.

More Post...Buzzer

I was talking to my blog friend Six last night and told him I would post today. The only thing I can think about is the new security pad they added to my office door and the buzzing sound it makes every time you enter.

I (for now) work in HR for a large department store chain. My office has an additional file room were all personal files are kept. After a recent audit it was found the files were not secure enough. So now there is this James Bond'esk key pad outside the door. Every time I leave my office I have to punch the code to get in. The annoying part is the buzzer. It not only annoys me but all those around me. I figure I only have a few weeks so what the hell.

Job...I had an interview with a Health insurance company yesterday. I think it went very well. I should know something by the end of the week.

Show...Nothing has changed. March 4th is still the date. So mark your calendars.

Pod casting... I have been talking to two future pod casters and look forward to them bringing us a new show. I begged to be a guest on the show. So far its a go

Happy Holidays Everyone!!

You're The Sound and the Fury!

by William Faulkner

Strong-willed but deeply confused, you are trying to come to grips
with a major crisis in your life. You can see many different perspectives on the issue,
but you're mostly overwhelmed with despair at what you've lost. People often have a hard
time understanding you, but they have some vague sense that you must be brilliant
anyway. Ultimately, you signify nothing.

Coffee!!

Alright I'm a huge fan of coffee and I'm very excited that a new coffee house has opened in my neighborhood. The name of the place is Bean Haus. They do not have all of the permits need to sell brewed coffee so each day there are samples to try. Needless to say I stop there every morning. Check it out beanhaus.com

I apologize....Kind of

I think I did not make myself clear when I made a comment about Jake Simpson.

There was one point in the concert where Mr. Simpson thought he was suppose to come in and put the microphone up to his mouth and it was clear that it was not the right time. When he performed during the second half of the show he was awesome...

So now to you Mr. Gibb (Jake) .. I do not have to have been on television or have made tour appearances to have an opinion on a performer or a performance. Really anyone can be on television. Your on a reality show and you become a star. Jake Simpson is a talented singer. My comments may have seemed harsh and I apologize for that, but everyone is entitled to an opinion.

Just to think I thought I only had 4 readers.
